A really good (long) weekend of sales. Not my best ever, but right up there -- 147 packages going out today.
Answers to your questions:
$4,974 in sales
$991 in shipping
$848 in fees
$616 COGS
Approx $400 in other overhead & payroll

Every item sold this weekend was thrifted one-off clothing. I do have a couple part-time employees who help with photography and inventory management.

  Wow- how many active listings do you have ?
  - 8,963 at this moment. 46 in process right now that will upload to eBay in the next hour or two.
  Then tomorrow, I have a batch of about 400 pairs of men's jeans that will go up
  - part in the afternoon / evening and the rest on Friday. The lifeblood of the business is listing!
  

 

Something to think about.....

If you sold an average of 10 items per day with an average sale of $100, you would sell $1000 a day or $365k a year.
Or 20 @ $50, or something similar. That was my goal at the beginning of the year and I met that goal through May.
Summer slowed things down, but back on track over the last 1.5 months.
With a big holiday push I may reach my goal. I expect 30% profit after cost of merchandise, fees and other expenses.
Net profit of $110k.

I am a full time seller so I have the time to make this happen. But for you part-time sellers, my point is if you can concentrate on higher end quality items, you do not need to work so hard to make a good side-hustle income. Maybe make a goal of 5- $100 items a week, or 10/$50. I hear lots of complaints that things aren't selling on eBay.
My advise is really to hone in on quality items and moving your product ASAP. I auction most items.

I spread out over many platforms about 10 years ago when all the original changes happened. Im not vulnerable to any current changes. Made the necessary adjustments a long time ago.
Grew several other businesses off of it.
I maintain 150-175 active listings and only work about 20 hours a week.
I get cross eyed when I hear all the posts about 1000’s and 10’s of thousands of listings, people selling things for $5-$10 and working 40 hours a week with employees, high overhead and small margins.
It probably took me a decade to find the right products and connections to get here. Time is better spent sourcing the right product and connections before anything.
Formula should come before volume and scale.
