We know the family arrived in Canada on the Keppler ship in 1864.
I now know they arrived in Quebec City on 18th June 1864.

This would NOT have given them very much time
to get to: Sebastopol Twp, in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada
and, begin to clear some land
before the first winter set in!
Yes. John was accompanied by his wife
    EMELIE AKA Amelia and children
    (eMILIE AKA Amelia,
    Bertha,
Charles who was listed as Carl,
    Edward AKA EWALD,
    and Ida.
    Robert was born on board
and was not listed on the ships manifest.

Also on this ship were his John's brother Carl
    and his wife Ottillie
    and their daughter Hilda

and his father Christian Frederick Musculus.

Johann Gottfried (John) Musclow (Musculus) her father
→ Catherina Dorthea Spiegel - Musclow (Musculus) his mother

→ Johan Michael Spiegel his father
→ Johann Albrecht Spiegel his father
→ Johann Philipp Spiegel his father
→ Johann Albrecht Spiegel his father
    → Hans Spiegel his father
    → Ludwig Spiegel his father

The Musclow families of Canada are the descendants of two brothers
originally called Johann and Karl Musculus,
who married two sisters, Emilie and Ottilie Schroeder
    in Bellin (near Ueckermünde) Germany,
near what is now the Polish border.

The families came to Canada in 1864,
and the brothers became known as John Musclow and Carl Musclow.

Carl's family settled mostly in Renfrew County, Ontario,

As of now I have not been able to find a picture of the Keppler Ship
that was built in Hull, England in early 1863
for the Robert Miles Sloman shipping line of Hamburg, Germany.

If your interested it was a sailing ship (Segelschiff in German)
and you might be able to find similar looking ships 3 masted and square-rigged on the internet.

Also if you look up the builder Martin Samuelson and Co.,
you will find some interesting background about him,
    if your interested.

The ship only existed for less than three years so we may never find what it looked like.
