Our farm manager, Blake, turned eight awhile back. He might have lost a step or two, but he still keeps elephants out of the pasture.
There are some skeptics who believe dogs don’t really have much to do with the absence of elephants.


But skepticism aside, there is an abundance of evidence that dogs prevent elephants.After all, most farms have dogs and pretty close to zero farms have elephants.
Which is the logic governments use for evidence-based policy. That keen reasoning has been on full display during the great COVID panic.
Think back to early January when the public health authorities unveiled the latest scary COVID modelling. Every one of those models featured a hockey stick graph taking COVID cases from historic highs to the viral stratosphere.
In Ontario the medium level of infection by mid-February was targeted at 20,000 cases a day.
The public health response was pulled from the 1918 Spanish Flu playbook – wash your hands and stay home. Despite all of the advances in science and technology, public health pandemic advice hasn’t changed much over the last hundred years.

The COVID models proved to be accurate. They just had the hockey stick going in the wrong direction.


Canada-wide, the rate of infection started dropping dramatically in mid-January (pretty close to the day after the public health folks rolled out the scary models) and continued through February.
Well, by gosh, obviously, the lockdowns worked. The public health dogs had repelled the virus elephants.
But darned if there aren’t a few skeptics who don’t believe that the forced closures of (some) businesses, schools and recreation areas (think Ontario ski hills) caused the reduction in infections.
Some stubborn facts fuel those skeptics. The crash in the rate of infections happened just about everywhere, even in jurisdictions that didn’t close businesses and schools.
And the rate of decline was about the same, regardless of the intensity of public health initiatives.


Undaunted by these anomalies, the public health authorities have marched on.The damn elephants are coming, they’re just a little late.
Our own Dr. Theresa Tam pulled out yet another set of projections showing infection rates blasting off (the “rocket ship” chart) as new COVID variants roared through the country.Toronto’s Dr. Eileen de Villa said of the falling infection rates: “I have never been more concerned.”
By gosh, they are sticking to evidence-based strategy even when the evidence and the strategy are in different galaxies. Fact-based decision making isn’t easy.

Based on last week’s media releases, it would appear that Tam and de Villa are now cheering the virus on. That’s not a great look.
But it’s not surprising. Facts are funny things. It seems that even scientists tend to ignore facts that don’t fit with preconceived notions.


And facts are scarce when you are just making stuff up. Which pretty much sums up the public health, fear-based response to this pandemic (see testing, contact tracing, masks, vaccines, international travel and all those models).
Tam and company have no clue why the rate of infection went down and they won’t know why it starts to rise again.
Based on the last 11 months Tam, de Villa and their fellow travellers would be well-advised to get out of the modelling business. It’s not going so well.
And Canadians would probably be wise to take anything public health folks say with a large grain of salt. Two grains when it comes to vaccination projections.

Warning #1: Dr. Walensky Said Cases are “Still at a Very High Number”

She started off by acknowledging the decline in cases and hospital admissions over the last month or so, with deaths declining over the last week. However, she revealed that the trend is starting to turn around. “The latest data suggests that these declines may be stalling, potentially leveling off at still a very high number,” she said, adding that the CDC considers it “a very concerning shift in the trajectory.”

Warning #2: Dr. Walensky Warned Cases are Increasing

“The most recent seven day average of cases, approximately 66,350, is higher than the average I shared with you on Wednesday,” she continued. “In fact, cases have been increasing for the past three days compared to the prior week. And while deaths tend to fluctuate more than cases and hospital admissions, the most recent seven day average, approximately 2,000 per day, is slightly higher than the seven day average earlier in the week.”
Dr. Walensky said the CDC is “watching” this “concerning data very closely to see where they will go over the next few days,” but pointed out that they are an “important” reminder “to remember where we are in the pandemic.”

Warning #3: Dr. Walensky Said “Now is Not the Time to Relax Restrictions”


“Things are tenuous. Now is not the time to relax restrictions,” she said. “Although we've been experiencing large declines in cases in admissions over the past six weeks, these declines follow the highest peak we have experienced in the pandemic. So I want to be clear: Cases, hospital admissions and deaths all remain very high. And the recent shift in the pandemic must be taken extremely seriously.”

Warning #4: Dr. Walensky Warned of the New COVID Variants Being “More Transmissible”

Additionally, the latest variants are of additional concern. “CDC has been sounding the alarm about the continued spread of variants in the United States, predicting the variants such as the B117 variant, which is thought to be about 40%, 50% more transmissible” would become the predominant variant of COVID-19 by mid-March. “We may now be seeing the beginning effects of these variants in the most recent data. Our estimates now indicate that B117 accounts for approximately 10% of cases in the United States up from one to 4%, a few weeks ago, and prevalence is even higher in certain areas of the country.”
With the addition of new variants identified in California and New York, everyone needs to do their part to end the pandemic. “We may be done with the virus, but clearly the virus is not done with us,” she warned. “We cannot get comfortable or give in to a false sense of security that the worst of the pandemic is behind us. Not now, not when mass vaccination is so very close, when what we need to prevent, this is truly imminent. We must continue to be vigilant and committed to consistently taking the steps we work to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

Warning #5: Dr. Walensky Said It’s Up to Us to End the Pandemic

“Where the pandemic goes from here is dependent on our collective behavior and resolve to do our part, to protect ourselves, our families and our communities. Together we have the capacity to avoid another surge in our mainstream,” she continued. “I know people are tired. They want to get back to life normal, but we're not there yet. Give us the time we need to get more vaccines into our communities and to get more people vaccinated. This is our path out. Here in the United States, over 46 million people or 14% of the population have already received at least one dose of the vaccine. And so many more of you are ready to roll up your sleeves as soon as the vaccine becomes available to you. And indeed more vaccine is on the way.”

The video was recorded at the Nipah Virus international conference in Singapore on December 9 and 10, 2019.
At 29:52 mark of the video the WHO official says, “coronaviruses are pretty good… you can manipulate them in the lab pretty easily… the spiked proteins drive a lot about what happens. You can get the sequence you can build the protein, we work with Ralph Baric at UNC to do this, insert into the backbone of another virus and do some work in a lab.”
This is an explosive development.

Video taken just days before the start of the coronavirus pandemic shows a current World Health Organization (WHO) inspector discuss the testing of modified coronaviruses on human cells and humanized mice in the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), just weeks before the first cases of COVID-19 were announced in the city of Wuhan itself.
In a video that was originally taken on Dec. 9, 2019, three weeks before the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission announced an outbreak of a new form of pneumonia, virologist Vincent Racaniello interviewed British zoologist and president of EcoHealth Alliance Peter Daszak about his work at the nonprofit to protect the world from the emergence of new diseases and predict pandemics. Since 2014, Daszak’s organization has received millions of dollars of funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), which it has funneled to the WIV to carry out research on bat coronaviruses.
In the first phase of research, which took place from 2014 to 2019, Daszak coordinated with Shi Zhengli, (石正麗), also known as “Bat Woman,” at the WIV on investigating and cataloging bat coronaviruses across China. EcoHealth Alliance received US$3.7 million in funding from the NIH for this research and 10 percent was channeled to the WIV, reported NPR.
The second, more dangerous phase, which started in 2019, involved gain-of-function (GoF) research on coronaviruses and chimeras in humanized mice from the lab of Ralph S. Baric of the University of North Carolina. Funding for the program was withdrawn by the NIH under the Trump administration on April 27 amid the pandemic.

At the 28:10 mark of the podcast interview, Daszak states that researchers found that SARS likely originated from bats and then set out to find more SARS-related coronaviruses, eventually finding over 100. He observed that some coronaviruses can “get into human cells in the lab,” and others can cause SARS disease in “humanized mouse models.”…
…Controversially, Daszak has been included among a team of experts from the WHO that has finally been allowed by Beijing to investigate the origin of the outbreak of COVID-19, over a year after it started.​

“COVID-19 virus” isolation
Would a sane person mix a patient sample (containing various sources of genetic material
and never proven to contain any particular virus) with transfected monkey kidney cells, fetal bovine serum
and toxic drugs, then claim that the resulting concoction is “SARS-COV-2 isolate”
and ship it off internationally for use in critical research (including vaccine and test development)?
Because that’s the sort of fraudulent monkey business that’s being passed of as “virus isolation”

A colleague in New Zealand (Michael S.) and I (CM) have been submitting
Freedom of Information requests to health/science institutions in various countries seeking records
that describe the actual isolation of a “COVID-19 virus” (aka “SARS-COV-2”)
from any unadulterated sample taken from a diseased patient.

Our requests are deliberately worded to weed out fraudulent, irrational claims of “isolation”
– of which there are many.
Our requests have not been limited to records of isolation performed by the respective institution,
or limited to records authored by the respective institution,
rather they were open to any records describing “COVID-19 virus” isolation
performed by anyone, ever, anywhere on the planet.

Thus far (February 18, 2021) 17 Canadian institutions have provided their final responses.
Every institution has indicated the same: that they searched their records and located none describing
the isolation of any “COVID-19 virus” directly from a patient sample that was not first adulterated
with other sources of genetic material. (Those other sources are typically monkey kidney aka “Vero” cells and fetal bovine serum).
Numerous individuals have been submitting the same, and similar, requests to institutions in various countries.

As of February 18, 2021: Zero institu
tions have provided or cited any record describing “SARS-COV-2” isolation by anyone, anywhere, ever.

(And yes, we are aware of the many publications wherein authors claim
to have “isolated the virus”. We’ve looked at numerous such studies
and have yet to see one where they actually did so. Claiming to have done something
and actually doing it are sometimes 2 different things, even in peer-reviewed science.

And yes we are aware of the many published alleged “SARS-COV-2 genomes”
– these were in fact manufactured, not discovered. And yes we are aware that EM photos
have been published, allegedly of “the virus”, however a photo of something does not tell you
what the thing is, where it came from or what it does.

One has to scrutinize the Methods used to “isolate the virus” / obtain said photos / obtain alleged genomes,
and that is when absolutely everything falls apart with “COVID-19”.)

Regarding Health Canada specifically…

Despite:

• the fact that a virus that has never been isolated has also never been sequenced
• or shown scientifically to be the cause of any illness;
• the fact that COVID-19 diagnostic “tests” (PCR “tests”) are sequence-based;
• the fact that the entire country has been under lock-down
• and Canadians have experienced a mind-boggling level of disruption and devastation over an alleged deadly “novel coronavirus”;
• having authorized 51 clinical trials for “COVID-19” drugs and vaccines as of July 19, 2020; and
• being the sole authorizing authority for “COVID-19” testing devices
• imported or sold in Canada, and having already authorized 26 “COVID-19” medical devices;

Health Canada has apparently seen no need to ensure
that “the deadly virus” has actually been isolated from a patient sample
by anyone, ever, anywhere on the planet, and has no records indicating that it has been.

Virus isolation and other basic “COVID-19” science is simply an article of faith with Health Canada.

which I hear is fuelling rumours that all of these communications are actually “fake”,
as if I have nothing better to do with my time than spend endless hours creating “fake” emails
that I never actually sent, and “fake” response letters from government institutions on their “fake” letterhead
– something I’m sure could get me into a lot of trouble if I actually did it.):

sure enough “we were unable to locate any records…”

It’s been pointed out that 1) it’s strange for the letter to be undated
(I agree, and it’s not the 1st time I’ve received bizarre communications from Health Canada),
and that 2) June 13 was a Saturday.

I cannot account for how Health Canada chooses to name their files
or tell you whether or not someone from Health Canada actually wrote this letter on a Saturday.
