The total lunar eclipse at dawn on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
The photograph was taken from the Pacaya volcano in Guatemala, at a height of 7066 feet above one of the extinct cones
of the volcanic complex called "Cerro Chino", around 04: 40 hours.
In the image you can see the moon in its total phase with its characteristic red color of a lunar eclipse,
above the moon the star cluster of Las Pleyades (Messier 45) and below the Fuego volcano (with lava) and Acatenango.
The capture was made with a Nikon Z6ii camera and a 24-70mm lens.
Exposure time: 8 seconds, ISO 2000, Aperture f4.

Missed the eclipse, but did catch this full moon rainbow
at an unearthly hour - -
a little research has revealed that this is actually called a moonbow
and is quite a rare sighting and Is a sign of hope in the darkness!

Was able to finally finish up my lunar eclipse processing (was waiting for Topaz’ Black Friday sale). Very happy with this composite. Makes the 3 hours in the cold well worth it.
Shot on Sony A7iii with the Sony 200-600 f5.6 lens, ISOs from 200-800, different focal lengths (the darker the wider) and different shutter speeds up to 1.3 seconds.
