This is the mosaic in New York's Central Park, a monument to John Lennon's vision of peace and love.


Below is the "IMAGINE" monument, 20 years exactly from the day John Lennon was gunned down in front of his home on Central Park West & 72nd Street (The Dakota). December 8, 1980

This is the scene Dec.8 2000, with flowers and photographs, and tourists and fans from everywhere on earth, pausing to reflect. Imagine. I signed this poster, too: "We all shine on!"










Today, thirty years to the day since that tragic ending to a Dream, around our planet today, Lennon still inspires us to Imagine a better world.

WHEELER, F. Lorne February 17, 1957-April 18, 2013 It is with profound sadness that Lorne's family announce his passing on Thursday April 18. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Sandra Raymond, devoted and proud dad and step-dad to Ryan, Laura and Christopher Wheeler and Julius Raymond. Dearly loved by mother Georgina Wheeler and the late Frederic Wheeler, sisters Erica Routledge (Norm) and Sylvia Wheeler. His life will be celebrated by family and friends across continents. He lived passionately into architecture, design and technology, teaching, affordable housing for seniors, coaching, scouting, designing birthday parties and inspiring youth. He embraced sailing, alpine skiing, Muskoka as his essence, water colour painting, woodworking and a commitment to personal growth and family. He did all he could to "love his brain cancer away." he and i traveled a lot together, we shared a love of skiing; and; he was like a brother
- i do NOT think anyone ever believed us, that NOTHING was going on
- however, NOTHING was going on, and, only a close friendship existed
- i feel so bad he walked this road out alone
- we did make contact online in 2010 - but, he didn;t mention he was having any challenges
just that he was blessed and happy in his life with 4 kids and a soul mate, in a wife
-- and, this was around, the same time my parents started their respective battles with cancer
- however; now, i understand his presence in many of my dreams
- Lorne was a Dreamer, and, also an Empath - he had a gift
- and, how blessed we were to share the type of friendship very few people ever have with another soul !!!

Cynthia Lennon

1939 - 2015



Cynthia Lennon passed away today at her home in Mallorca, Spain following a short but brave battle with cancer.
Her son Julian Lennon was at her bedside throughout. The family are thankful for your prayers.
Please respect their privacy at this difficult time.

I’m very saddened by Cynthia’s death.
She was a great person and a wonderful mother to Julian.
She had such a strong zest for life and I felt proud how we two women stood firm in the Beatles family.
