    Kelly Buck
The disabled in Ontario used to receive $5,000.00 less per year
    than Minimum Wage earners.

    Now, they're receiving $18,000.00 less.

Along with this, a lot of services and necessary drugs and medical treatments
    have been taken away.

Most can't afford rent, let alone food or to pay their bills,
including the extra cost for medical care not covered.

Is it any wonder why someone would want to give up
and look at medically assisted suicide?

These people are not Welfare cases, they were functioning Adults
who would rather work than collect ODSP any day,
but through no fault of their own, became disabled.

Ford is giving them a 5% increase soon, but really,
what is $50.00/month going to do to help them?

    A single person receives $1,169.00/month,
with $490.00 of that for their shelter.

You can't even find a room for $490.00/month.

The system needs a major rehaul!

    • John Schuiling says:
Alberta ASIH (ASSURED INCOME for the SEVERELY HANDICAPPED)
is $1,700 a month, medication is covered and they can get subsidized rent
up to 70% of the rent if the rent is more than 30% of their money.

    • Cynthia Noble says:
in NB they were receiving only 763$ a month
although think it up to $800-900 but still much less than Ontario.

    • Denise Smilesalot says:
