The Suffolk born and bred aspiring pilot was apparently bitten on her forehead near her right eye in Antwerp and from then onwards things started to get worse.

It soon “appeared swollen and infected,” as per reports.

She was then taken to an accident and emergency department on 7 July 2021.

And was prescribed antibiotics.

But two days later her boyfriend James Hall said he took her back to the hospital, after she had collapsed.

And sadly died in hospital on July 12, 2021.

According to reports, Oriana’s cause of death was because of a “septic emboli in the brain,” in which blood vessels are blocked.


Suffolk’s senior coroner Nigel Parsley said Pepper died “as a result of a serious infection caused by an insect bite to the forehead.”

The coroner further added that the bite of the insect had “gone into the carotid artery of the neck,” which had caused the blockage.
