Temple of Abydos or the home of Osiris
This temple was the main center for the worship of the god Osiris.

The ancient Egyptians used to pilgrimage to it to weep the god Osiris,
the guardian of eternal life, and the ancient god of paradise.

And discover the oldest boats in history Despite the passage of a thousand years,

it still stands tall to remain a witness to life in ancient Egypt,

as it was a witness to the story of the eternal love of Isis and Osiris,

and the temple received many titles,

perhaps the most famous of which is “Taur” meaning the great land.

The temple of Seti I also known as the Great Temple of Abydos is one of the main historical sites in Abydos.

The temple was built by pharaoh Seti I. At the rear of the temple there is the Osireion.

The temple is also notable for the Abydos graffiti, ancient Phoenician and Aramaic graffiti found on the temple walls.
