Milky Way over Burney Falls.

Every once in a while I have to post my most common profile picture.

This one was taken in July of 2015 after spending two years
putting it off because I was scared I couldn't do it justice.
(I still don't think I have...) Shooting it was definitely an experience.

I spent 7 hours almost always alone at the falls on this evening/night.

The falls are loud and being in the dark and tired
and unable to hear make it so you imagination runs a bit wild!


Fortunately I did have a task to occupy my time.

Every 2 minutes I had to wipe the camera lens gently to remove the moisture from the mist being careful not to move the camera.

I expected to be able to light the falls from my position
but the mist was too much.

Fortunately, I was aided by a group of campers at around 1AM
that decided they should light up the falls from the side on their late night adventure. Hope you enjoy our unintentional collaborative result.
