H.h. Katog Moktsa Rinpoche ~ Golden Throne Holders Of Katog

H.H. Katog Moktsa Rinpoche
was maybe the last of the generation
of the Great practitioners who were born
and completed their training in Tibet
before the Chinese occupation.

After the take over, there was a break in the original, ways that had been indigenous
for 1,000’s of years

He was one of the
“Five Golden Throne Holders of Katog.”

Also considered the “Father of the Katog Lineage.”

Katog is one of the six Mother monasteries
of all the Nyingma Lineage,
the Lineage of the Dzogchen Yogic practioners.

At the beginning of the year,
Rinpoche was not feeling well.

Extensive ceremonies were done to support
his life-force, and he returned
to his previous perfect health.

Tirelessly offering teachings
and leading large ceremonies,
resuming all the activities
of leading the large monastery.

Then recently he gave away all
of his possessions,
and said he did not have long to remain.

On Sept.10, at the age of 95,
the Buddha Moktsa Rinpoche
passed into parinirvana.

This is a huge loss to the world.

One such as He,
who has purified ones mainstream
of any self-centered, ego centric thoughts,
turning their entire, one-pointed,
focused attention to continually praying
for the benefit of others, of all beings.

It is easier said then actually done,
and Moktsa Rinpoche did this on a vast scale
for his entire very long life.

The positive energy he created,
and dedicated to the enlightenment of all
is beyond comprehension.

So for us, this is a powerful time to connect.

When conciousness separates from the body
at physical death, the mind of a Great Being
such as Moktsa Rinpoche,
becomes vast and limitless.

It is a time when it is easy for us to unite
with his enlightened mind.

Practices are being done at Katog Gompa
and others in Tibet, and we can participate in
the practices, with an extraordinary opportunity
