    Incredible archeological discovery:
An ice age European proto-writing system has been deciphered.

An amateur archeologist has decoded symbols on Paleolithic cave art
that are at least 20,000 years old, dating back to the Gravettian
and Solutrean periods of ice age Europe.

The newly deciphered proto-writing system includes a counting system,
animal reproductive cycles, and lunar cycles.

It predates Middle Eastern proto-writing by over 10,000 years.

"[European] hunter-gatherers were the first to use a systemic calendar
and marks to record information about major ecological events within that calendar"
