"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, sickest
and, most aching dog in the whole shelter

I will never forget his eyes,
when I entered his cage

he did NOT even bother to look at me,
iT was as iF, he knew,
I would NOT even see him.

He was all curled up in the corner,
as, iF he had accepted his fate.

The volunteer told me many times ...

that this dog, was NOT the dog for me,

BUT, surely they were wrong !!!

i felt a sureness, that, YES,
this is my dog...
and, it will love me,
100% with its whole heart.

The volunteer opened his cage,
and, i ran towards him...
and, suddenly the dog looked at me,
as, if he had seen an angel...

I hugged the dog,
and, told him...

NOW, you will be happy again...

and, he snuggled into my arms,

and, went to sleep....

i'm sure it is the most restful sleep

he's had since he came to the humane society...

Yup...i'm going to give this little guy,

a great life ...

i'm going to give him hugs & kisses ...
and, treats too !!!

He needed me,
but, secretly, i also needed him !!!
