Theresa May has claimed Muslims in Britain “benefit greatly” from Sharia law as she launched plans for an “independent inquiry,” headed by a Muslim and guided by two “leading imams,” into whether some of the controversial courts’ judgements are at odds with British gender equality laws.

The proposed review will investigate whether Sharia law is being “misused” and “exploited” to discriminate against women in Islamic courts in the UK, according to the Home Secretary.

A regular voice on Radio 4’s Thought For The Day, Professor Mona Siddiqui, billed on the slot as an expert in Islamic theology, will chair the inquiry looking into whether or not Sharia courts have broken British laws on gender equality, The Telegraph reported.
So as to reassure Muslims, unelected Home Office minister Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon issued a ministerial statement promising the review will in no way look into the legality of the courts, saying Sharia law is “a source of guidance” for Muslims in the UK.
The panel doing the review includes retired high court judge Sir Mark Hedley, specialist family lawyer Anne Marie Hutchinson and, in addition to Ms. Siddiqui, three other Muslims have been named in the line up. These are barrister Sam Momtaz and “leading imams” Sayed Ali Abbas Razawi and Qari Asim, who will advise the panel on religious and theological issues relating to aspects of Sharia law and how it is applied.
Mrs. May stated: “Many British people of different faiths follow religious codes and practices, and benefit a great deal from the guidance they offer.
“A number of women have reportedly been victims of what appear to be discriminatory decisions taken by Sharia councils, and that is a significant concern.


“There is only one rule of law in our country, which provides rights and security for every citizen.
“Professor Siddiqui, supported by a panel with a strong balance of academic, religious and legal expertise, will help us better understand whether and the extent to which Sharia law is being misused or exploited and make recommendations to the Government on how to address this.”
Critics took to social media to lambaste the inquiry for “legitimising” Sharia courts, the most prominent beings the National Secular Society who implied that as long as the courts exist in this country, Muslim women will be discriminated against.

Baroness Cox, a cross-bench peer who spearheaded a Parliamentary drive to rein in unofficial Sharia courts, said there was a danger the inquiry could be a “distraction” from the urgency of tackling discrimination. She said: “I think the Government may well say ‘let’s wait until the results of the investigation’ but we need action now.
“My reservation is that it won’t get to the root of the problem. A lot of Muslim women I know say that the men in their communities just laugh at this proposed investigation, that they will go underground so the investigation will have to be very robust.”


The peer also slammed Mrs. May’s insistence that discrimination against women is due to “misuse” of Sharia teaching rather than the teaching itself. Baroness Cox said she’s a supporter of religious freedoms and compared the Muslim period of fasting — Ramadan — to Lent (a period before Easter in which Christians either choose to go without things that are important to them, or fast), but condemned aspects of Islam related to its religious laws.
Ms. Cox said: “I believe in freedom of religion and I believe that there are aspects of Sharia law that are totally unproblematic.
“If Muslims want to fast, well Christians do that at Lent, if they want to pray five times a day, that’s more than I do.
“But the aspects which are causing such concerns — such as that a man can divorce his wife by saying ‘I divorce you’ three times — that is inherent, the right to ‘chastise’ women is inherent, polygamy is inherent.
“I don’t think those things are a distortion or Sharia law. These are aspects of Sharia law which are unacceptable.”
Family law specialist Kaleel Anwar said Sharia law is based on “total equality and fairness for all,” the Oxford Mail reported. The London-based lawyer added in a statement that “the issue here is not the law – the law has pretty much nothing to do with it”.


The Home Secretary and Mr. Anwar’s comments came at the same time as the Washington Post reported that the Council of Islamic Ideology, the constitutional body that makes religious rulings for the Pakistani government, ruled that husbands can “lightly” beat their wives.

Despite all the will in the world it will always be near impossible for Australian voters to punish both of the two major parties at the same time, it is built into the two-party preferred system that that cannot happen.

The only way it will change in any real sense is for the preference system to be made optional - something I completely support.

Putin: The builders of the New World Order have failed



Most people in the English-speaking parts of the world missed Putin’s speech at the Valdai conference in Sochi a few days ago, and, chances are, those of you who have heard of the speech didn’t get a chance to read it, and missed its importance.

(For your convenience, I am pasting in the full transcript of his speech below.) Western media did their best to ignore it or to twist its meaning. Regardless of what you think or don’t think of Putin (like the sun and the moon, he does not exist for you to cultivate an opinion) this is probably the most important political speech since Churchill’s “Iron Curtain” speech of March 5, 1946.

In this speech, Putin abruptly changed the rules of the game. Previously, the game of international politics was played as follows: politicians made public pronouncements, for the sake of maintaining a pleasant fiction of national sovereignty, but they were strictly for show and had nothing to do with the substance of international politics; in the meantime, they engaged in secret back-room negotiations, in which the actual deals were hammered out. Previously, Putin tried to play this game, expecting only that Russia be treated as an equal. But these hopes have been dashed, and at this conference he declared the game to be over, explicitly violating Western taboo by speaking directly to the people over the heads of elite clans and political leaders.

The Russian blogger chipstone summarized the most salient points from Putin speech as follows:

1. Russia will no longer play games and engage in back-room negotiations over trifles. But Russia is prepared for serious conversations and agreements, if these are conducive to collective security, are based on fairness and take into account the interests of each side.


2. All systems of global collective security now lie in ruins. There are no longer any international security guarantees at all. And the entity that destroyed them has a name: The United States of America.

3. The builders of the New World Order have failed, having built a sand castle. Whether or not a new world order of any sort is to be built is not just Russia’s decision, but it is a decision that will not be made without Russia.

4. Russia favors a conservative approach to introducing innovations into the social order, but is not opposed to investigating and discussing such innovations, to see if introducing any of them might be justified.

5. Russia has no intention of going fishing in the murky waters created by America’s ever-expanding “empire of chaos,” and has no interest in building a new empire of her own (this is unnecessary; Russia’s challenges lie in developing her already vast territory). Neither is Russia willing to act as a savior of the world, as she had in the past.

6. Russia will not attempt to reformat the world in her own image, but neither will she allow anyone to reformat her in their image. Russia will not close herself off from the world, but anyone who tries to close her off from the world will be sure to reap a whirlwind.

7. Russia does not wish for the chaos to spread, does not want war, and has no intention of starting one. However, today Russia sees the outbreak of global war as almost inevitable, is prepared for it, and is continuing to prepare for it. Russia does not war—nor does she fear it.

8. Russia does not intend to take an active role in thwarting those who are still attempting to construct their New World Order—until their efforts start to impinge on Russia’s key interests. Russia would prefer to stand by and watch them give themselves as many lumps as their poor heads can take. But those who manage to drag Russia into this process, through disregard for her interests, will be taught the true meaning of pain.

9. In her external, and, even more so, internal politics, Russia’s power will rely not on the elites and their back-room dealing, but on the will of the people.

German Professor: NASA Has Fiddled Climate Data On ‘Unbelievable’ Scale

A German professor has confirmed what skeptics from Britain to the US have long suspected: that NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies has largely invented “global warming” by tampering with the raw temperature data records.

Professor Dr. Friedrich Karl Ewert is a retired geologist and data computation expert. He has painstakingly examined and tabulated all NASA GISS’s temperature data series, taken from 1153 stations and going back to 1881. His conclusion: that if you look at the raw data, as opposed to NASA’s revisions, you’ll find that since 1940 the planet has been cooling, not warming.

According to Günter Ederer, the German journalist who has reported on Ewert’s findings:

From the publicly available data, Ewert made an unbelievable discovery: Between the years 2010 and 2012 the data measured since 1881 were altered so that they showed a significant warming, especially after 1950. […] A comparison of the data from 2010 with the data of 2012 shows that NASA-GISS had altered its own datasets so that especially after WWII a clear warming appears – although it never existed.​

Apart from Australia, the planet has in fact been on a cooling trend:

Using the NASA data from 2010 the surface temperature globally from 1940 until today has fallen by 1.110°C, and since 2000 it has fallen 0.4223°C […]. The cooling has hit every continent except for Australia, which warmed by 0.6339°C since 2000. The figures for Europe: From 1940 to 2010, using the data from 2010, there was a cooling of 0.5465°C and a cooling of 0.3739°C since 2000.​

But the activist scientists at NASA GISS – initially led by James Hansen (pictured above), later by Gavin Schmidt – wanted the records they are in charge of maintaining to show warming not cooling, so they began systematically adjusting the data for various spurious reasons using ten different methods.

UN releases its globalist plans - you'll find every wealth-redistributing one-world-government idea in this one easy to throw away booklet!

If this report could sing The Interntionale would be its show tune. To save you the angst that reading this report engenders, I'll paraphrase much of its central thrust:

If The Rich just paid their climate debt and provided climate finance grants to The Lazy there'd be no poverty.

It tells you a lot about the agenda of the UN if you search the report for words like rich, sustainability, equity and the like.
You don't have to go beyond the first couple of pages to find climate change




Before we join them on their journey to New York, London, Monrovia and Bali, just have a think about the words above.
Above all, there is one "trend" which will determine whether or not people live in poverty. Climate change. One trend above all others? Determining whether people live in poverty? Not access to development capital, not education, not clean water, health, sanitation, not the rule of law, or property rights, nor the removal of corruption and corrupt regimes. Nuh. Not even a hint about the nexus between getting up, going to work, doing something well and getting paid for it. No, the big trend is Climate Change. It's just so, you know, trendy.
There's the usual refrain that the scientific evidence of the direct threat is mounting when the "evidence" seems to be moving in the other direction. I think you've got the idea about where they're coming from.
Climate Change is presented as the impetus for a "transformation" to a one world economy with a central control.




Australia has had 6 years of streamlining the agenda and as a result we are currently re-imagining our growth models. Unless you're in line for part of the $10 billion Christine Milne lender of last resort catalysing capital injections you're cactus.
And while we're on the topic of climate change, there's a new trendy catch-phrase, "Climate Finance". And it should be given with a lot of provisos on the giver and none on the taker.



I would like a home loan to get a house. Where do I find a keep-out-of-the-climate finance package that's obligatory, predictable, grant-based (ie I don't have to pay it back) and free from conditionalities. Conditionalities like having to spend the money on the thing I say I was going to spend it on.

I began this post by taking the report seriously and by thinking that it couldn't get more outlandish. But in Annex IV, the summary of the report's outreach efforts, there's a synopsis of the feedback from very angry wimmin. Just as well they misuse the word gender!



Specific and cross-cutting financial allocations for women's rights (gender budgeting) is ensured. What are they on? Whatever it was they must have had a huge puff before this doozy "the role of climate change, natural disasters, land grabbing and the extractives model of development in perpetuating women's poverty is recognized and addressed". That climate change is an evil devil, fancy the climate targetting women and perpetuating their poverty through extractive models.
I could go on but I have an alarming sense of myself losing contact with reality as I read more of the report. Why do we have a United Nations?
Amongst the great disgraces of this report is its authorship. David Cameron the PM of the United Kingdom signed on the dotted line.
Hasn't this all gone beyond a joke?

Have a look at the word "hysterisis" It basically is the gap in time between an event and its reaction. Where in the real world this can be near instantaneous in the bureaucratic world what takes minutes on a micro level can take years or even decades . By the time a significant issue like the real cause of climate change ( or indeed what climate change really is) is understood the UN will still be debating the dinner menu for the conference on the effect of the building of the Berlin Wall and what the effect will be on the price of Saville Row suits for the second assistant secretary of the delegate for the enrichment of Left handed Liberian Librarians (1962 dollar equivelants of course seasonally adjusted ) .

I asked why do advocates of sustainability continue to fly all over the world for get-togethers, when they can just as easily teleconference without the cost in time and emissions. It was explained that it was good to meet face to face. Attendance at global conferences is a relic from last century, that is now merely an unjustifiable rort for bureaucrats and academics. We have the NBN now. They should be leading by example.
To save money, the University is currently undergoing a "voluntary separation process". Who comes up with this terminology. If they stop flying all over the world to promote the UN agenda, then they wouldn't have to save money by voluntarily separating the staff from the students.

Well done Michael. It is good to see you taking on current issues which affect our future democratic lifestyle and the impact on the disadvantaged in this country and around the world.
The issues around our present PM and those who aided her are very important (it would be great to see the concern in court sooner than later)but these are not the only issues that affect the future.
From my qualifications, understanding and experience in technology (chemistry, physics, geology, engineering science,mathematics, statistics,economics are part of the wider technology description)I can conclude that weather in the short term and climate in the longer term is always changing and that humans have no long term influence.
The vast majority of people who accept AGW including most so-called climate scientists have no understanding of the complex technology involved in earth's climate variations and the changes over time. Various political movements have and are still using co-incidental minor changes in badly measured physical parameters to push agendas from which they think they can personally benefit.
Australia (and the world) needs more democracy and better more transparent information not restrictions by legislation or taxes.
Please note that the possible move to allow a Federal government (like the present) to directly fund or interfere with local government is a centralised grab for power, a reduction of democracy and a restriction on individual freedom.

What I have noticed when visiting "poor countries" is that the people in charge are usually very wealthy and siphoning money into overseas bank accounts. Mugabe for instance is the wealthiest person in Africa, Indonesia's upper class has obscene wealth. And so it goes on EG the world bank's money being funnelled into building roads and 3phase electricity out to president's country house in Kenya. I am sure you must have seen some of this on your trip.

"She'll be right" sadly just won't cut it anymore if we are to remain free... The evil from the deluded, sickening cult of Socialism is now all around us, gaining more and more of a foothold and power at the hands of the unsuspecting and gullible every day...
What can be done? The first thing is to never vote Socialist, EVER in any election, at any level of Government, anywhere - in this Country that means the ALP, Greens, and Independents(whom we have seen cannot be trusted to actually BE independent)... Unions, including Student Unions also embrace centralised Govt control run by their ruling elite - They are basically Communist, and the spawning ground for all the Political Socialist Liars and thugs we have been forced to endure over the years... They too must be shunned and avoided and opposed whilst they insist on actively seeking political and ideological control over the unsuspecting....
The second is to take the bull by the horns, expose their lies and treachery for what they are, and NEVER let them pull the wool over the eyes of the unsuspecting or disinterested in our midst unchallenged EVER... They will always try the minority group squeaky wheel bleating to try to make people feel guilty for striving for freedom and success and happiness for themselves and their families... Speak up, and tell them to crawl back into their dark little holes and F___ themselves....
There is plenty more that can and must be done, but one thing is for sure- This Country and indeed this world is so much the poorer for the rise of socialism and life can never again be as innocent and carefree for us again, sadly... We are , like it or not, in a true ideological WAR, rapidly careering towards more lethal forms of confrontation at the hands of the CULT of totalitarian Socialism....

Yes it has Michael, but until those with the ability, actually do something , it is only going to get worse.
But if what I read about the police calling off a search for a 2 y o child , leaving it to fend for itself in the bush for the night , until people went out and found it , it seems it's either the people do something , or nothing will happen .
Seems this applies to quite a few things of late.
I'm not denigrating the police , as they are probably tied to t apron strings of whoever throws the orders to them , but someone needs to open up to what is going on , or this country will cave in to it's knees.
Just as a certain ex Prime Minister claimed they were setting out to do some years ago .
Either face reality , or suffer the consequences.
It seems , soon , we may have no choice.
Post if you wish , but as no other of my posts get a look in , I won't hold my breath.

Even the British Met Office has acknowledged that global warming "stalled" in 1998, NASA satellite coverage was the first revelation. The new cooling trend indicates a mini ice age by 2040. However a trend yet to be continued.

Ignore the agenda at your/our peril, check UN Agenda 21 for a start.
I cannot see how new world agenda will succeed but I worry about the financial cost and the other social costs.

People I could not vote for the left side of politics, but at times I am disappointed by the other side who seem, the politicians, to be gullible fools sucked in by left spin. Australia can reject the Fabian socialist/communist nonsense that has been EU downfall related. We can do better. We must stop wasting our Common Wealth. We can accept more immigration but only people who can add to our national prosperity, and some who we accept as genuine refugees for resettlement and accept that their children will contribute.

Far right figures in Alternative for Germany have promised to call their own vote if they clutch power in country's general election in autumn next year.
A party spokesman branded Brussels a "bureaucracy monster", before adding: "Next year the AfD will enter the German parliament and Dexit will be top on our agenda".
They called the vote a Dexit as it stands for a Deutschland exit from the EU.
Eurosceptism has swept across the continent after the people of Britain backed Brexit in the historic EU referendum on June 23.

However a chance of a German EU referendum may not be that simple.
The experience of Nazi manipulation of plebiscites has left a dent in the trust of polls on a national scale.
The country's post-war constitution currently only allows for referendums if the constitution itself or the territories of the states making ip the republic are to be reformed.

"In the Weimar Republic there were two national referendums; during the Nazi reign, three plebiscites were held, with biased questions and blatant manipulation of results.
"A referendum does not mandate an organised political opposition - it simply requires a yes or no answer - one reason why both Napoleon and Hitler were enamoured of them."
Mrs Merkel and French president FrancoisHollande are said to be concerned that Brexit will lead to contagion and populist far-right parties would win support for their planes for the disintegration of the EU off the back of it.


So far far-right National Front party leader Marine Le Pen has called for France to host an EU referendum as she declared her support for Brexit.
The leader of far-right Danish People's Party says Denmark should now follow Britain's lead and hold a referendum on its membership.
Eurosceptic feeling is also surging in the Netherlands, with two-thirds of voters rejecting a Ukraine-EU treaty on closer political and economic ties.
Anti-EU politician Geert Wilders declared the result the “beginning of the end” for the Dutch government and the EU.
