Compassion Sometimes life can get too complicated for me so I need a seeing eye dog. Today's lesson is compassion. When a man is insulated from his own heartbeat, he becomes blind and cannot see. It's not that others take second fiddle. They’re not even on radar screen. The blind man doesn't know he's blind. He believes everything is just for him! Because for him there is nothing else. Oddly enough, his gift to the world is to see with compassion.
The Cave and the cave dwellers This brings to mind Plato's Cave. These prisoners chained together could only see the shadows of the reality behind them. www. faculty.washington.edu/smcohen/320/cave.htm
Sometimes pain & suffering can be like losing a friend, a love, a part of ourselves for which we must give compassion to our person, body and soul ref https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatritz_de_Dia
